A Very Prairie Christmas - A Mildly Shameless Plug

I kind of hemmed and hawed about adding a Mercantile to this website.  On the one hand, I didn't want people to think this site was a commercial venture or cheapen the heart and humans behind the scenes who are so passionate about Modern Pioneering / Frugal Living / Having a Prairie Mindset.

On the other hand, in the past, I have spent copious amounts of time scouring the net for all sorts of hard-to-find products.  So, compiling them seemed like a helpful kind of thing to do.

I know my own husband would have personally bear-hugged someone if they had compiled the volume of prairie and pioneer-related items that are in our store into one handy dandy spot.  Bear. Hugged.  Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries would have been a WHOLE lot simpler for the poor guy.

So, we finally decided to do it.  Our Mercantile is up and running.  If you have a daughter, aunt, sister, or wife who is nuts about this stuff, you can thank me later.  If you have a husband who needs to see this little bit of paradise, cut and paste the url into an email ( http://mylittleprairiehome.com/store.asp) and look forward to the first Christmas you won't have to stand in long customer service lines in order to return gift after gift.  You can thank me later, too!

And don't worry, it's not all sunbonnets and tin cups (though they're there, as well!).  You want some heirloom seeds for your spring garden?  We have 'em!  A pie bird. . .dutch oven lid lifter. . .or a stunning proper cookstove?  We have you covered!  What about some horehound candy, authentic sourdough starter or a farmer's lantern?  Yup, we've got that, too.  And that's just the beginning!

Of course, we also have just about every kind of Little House on the Prairie / Pioneer / Laura Ingalls Wilder related book and dvd as well. That just goes without saying!  :)

So why are you still reading this post?  Head over to the Mercantile, delight in the homesteading offerings, and have a VERY Prairie Christmas!!
