Shocking, isn't it?
But something today did catch my eye and I've been thinking about it all afternoon.
I didn't have time to make a note of where it was shared from, nor even the friend who did the sharing. . .but the idea was awesome and really got me to thinking. This could honestly be the BEST MOTHER'S DAY present Ev-uh!!
Dads? Husbands? Children? Grandchildren? Are you listening? This could SERIOUSLY earn you some massive mama-love points. (and it's so simple and inexpensive!!)
What is this fabulous idea? A journal!
Not the kind you give to mom to write down her thoughts, though. . .no, this one is for YOU to write in! Or for you to help your kids write in. Simple, huh?
Every year, the journal can be brought out again and each child (and maybe the husband, too!) can take a page and write a note, a poem, a prayer. . .anything. If the child is still too small to do their own writing, perhaps a drawing or photos or something special that dad can write on their behalf?
Then, instead of cards that are often lost or thrown away, the journal can be brought out and flipped through to rekindle memories built over the years!
Isn't that an absolutely brilliant idea?
Ian? Are you listening? :)
